9 June 2010
Mission Location: SW of Scottsbluff, NE
Description:
CAMA-C deployed on a marginal supercell that initiated near Chugwater, WY. The supercell moved NNE toward our deployment locations. All three CAM teams had good deployment locations relative to the updraft. CAMA deployed with DOW 7 when the storm was nearly 40 km to the west from the radar. CAMA photo documented the updraft and weak rotation (occasional wall cloud) as it eventually passed over their deployment location. No strong rotation was observed visually with this storm. CAMB and CAMC observed similar evolution at their deployment locations.
HD video and DSLR imagery were collected by all three photogrammetry teams.
