Attenuation - Continued
Can't really
correct for attenuation, it is basically ignored
in most cases - one hopes that it is not a large
problem
Attenuation is
worse for shorter wavelengths - here is an example of attenuation from a
3 cm radar.
Hail attenuates
the worst, then heavy rain, then snow, then cloud
drops, then atmospheric gases (about 2 dB per 100
km, indeed small)
