Northern New England Freezing Rain Event from Powerful Mid-latitude Cyclone

This event was a powerful storm that produced a variety of weather, including freezing rain over northern New England.  It also exhibited many of the characteristics common to developing mid-latitude cyclones.  Let's take a look:
